Alexander J. Cotoia, regulatory compliance manager, has over sixteen years of experience in the legal and compliance profession. Prior to joining The Volkov Law Group, Alexander was employed by Richard Branson’s company Virgin Galactic – a prominent suborbital space tourism company – in a multifaced legal and compliance capacity. Alexander joined The Volkov Law Group in 2021, and regularly assists the firm’s clients with the resolution of trade compliance matters arising under both the ITAR and EAR, spearheads its due diligence efforts, and assists the firm’s attorneys in advising clients with respect to sanctions regulations, the remediation of corporate compliance programs, and the conduct of internal investigations. Alexander earned an undergraduate degree at Purdue University Global and a master’s degree in law with a concentration in compliance from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach.

Alison is a Clinical Associate Professor at NYU Stern School of Business and Executive Director of Ethical Systems. She has spent the past two decades consulting with multinational companies on risk, anti-corruption, sustainability, human rights, culture and behavior, stakeholder engagement, ESG, and ethics and compliance–including as a senior advisor at sustainability nonprofit BSR, a member of the Board at Venture ESG, and a sustainability adviser at Zai Lab, KKR, and Pictet Group.

Prior to joining Ethical Systems, she was a managing director at Business for Social Responsibility, running the sustainability management, futures and supply chain practices. Alison also worked at Transparency International, Control Risks, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Fordham Law School. She is a 2023-24 member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Good Governance, and is currently writing a book for Harvard Business Review Press on how companies can do the right thing in a turbulent world.

Bill Cameron is the principal of Cameron Advisory Services, a newly launched firm providing customized counseling and practical advice about all aspects of ethics and compliance programming.

As one of the earliest ethics officers in the industry, Carrie Penman previously served four years as deputy director of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, now ECI. A scientist by training, she developed and directed the first corporate-wide global ethics program at Westinghouse Electric Corporation between 1994 and 1999. Carrie now leads NAVEX’s risk management processes and oversees its internal ethics and compliance program.

Leading the HR and organization development functions, Cindy Raz brings more than 20 years’ experience leading human resources functions and business operations within rapid-growth organizations. Jan Stappers is an expert in organizational whistleblowing management, data privacy, governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. He is engaged in the development of the new ISO 37002 Standard, is a frequent speaker on subjects related to whistleblowing, and has authored various articles on new legislation concerning whistleblower protection, anti-corruption, and organizational whistleblowing best practices.  

Jan is an International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E). He holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from King’s College London in the United Kingdom (EU Competition Law) and a master’s degree (LL.M) from Leiden University in the Netherlands (European Law). 

Jan was recently accepted as a member into The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s (UNECE) “Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies.” This working party is broken into six parts and Jan is a member of the Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems.

Jason Conn serves as Corporate Vice President, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Corporation.  In this role, he supports the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer with the implementation of the global compliance program across Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky.  Jason leads a team of compliance professionals with responsibility for compliance operations, program governance and reporting, complaint procedures and investigations, and data analytics.  Jason also serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Compliance & Ethics at Temple Law School.  Prior to joining Comcast in 2012, Jason was in the White Collar Litigation & Government Investigations Practice at Morgan Lewis. 

Jason is the Chair of Comcast’s Pro Bono Committee.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Senior LAW Center, and he sits on the Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League.  In 2020, Jason was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list.

Mr. Killeen became the Bumble Bee Seafoods Chief Compliance Officer in 2016. Prior to joining Bumble Bee, he was compliance counsel for 3M. Before 3M, he served 27 years as a Special Agent of the FBI in Minneapolis, New York, and Pittsburgh. He also served as a trial attorney in the FBI’s Office of the General Counsel in Washington, DC. He served two tours in Afghanistan chiefly under the FBI’s International Corruption Unit. In Pittsburgh, he was the FBI’s Chief Division Counsel, and Ethics and Compliance Officer. 

Mr. Killeen is a graduate of Grove City College. He received his law degree from Duquesne University. He is also a graduate of the Defense Language Institute School of Russian Language in Monterey.

Josh Daymont is the founder and CEO of Securisea, a global cybersecurity assurance consultancy.  Daymont has grown the firm since its creation from one office in the southeastern United States to a global firm with accreditations to perform nearly every type of cybersecurity assurance engagement. Earlier in his career, Daymont lead multiple commercial cybersecurity vulnerability research departments at several firms which went on to become publicly traded on the NASDAQ. As the founder of Securisea, Daymont has been awarded significant research grants by the United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for research in the area of cybersecurity which have led to several patents.

With more than 20 years of nursing experience, Kimberly Olson began her career specializing in labor and delivery before bringing her talents to hospice. 

Having spent the past 12 years in healthcare and hospice care leadership, Kimberly is certified in Healthcare Compliance and as a Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse. Prior to joining St. Croix Hospice in 2016 as the Executive Director of Compliance, she served as a hospice clinical manager. In 2018 Kimberly assumed the role of St. Croix Hospice Chief Compliance Officer. 

Kimberly serves on the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) Legislative Affairs Committee, Chairs the Minnesota Hospice and Palliative Care (MNHPC) Policy Committee, and volunteers for the Hospice Action Network as an advocate of hospice and palliative care utilization. Michael Olver is the CEO of Pacific Strategies & Assessments, a global risk consulting firm offering Due Diligence, Investigative, and Advisory services. He has been a corporate investigator for 15 years and has acted as an investigative responder on matters in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Olver has advised numerous multinational companies, regional government entities, banks, and high net worth individuals. Stefano is a professional with extensive experience in Audit & Compliance within the automotive industry.

Currently, he oversees the Global Integrity Helpline at Stellantis, where he contributes to the Audit & Compliance department’s strategic initiatives and operational excellence. Wendy Surikov, VP, Global Head of Investigations, CBRE, leads a team of highly skilled professionals who investigate all claims of serious misconduct. Wendy joined CBRE in 2022 from Microsoft, where she was Principal Corporate Counsel assigned to the Workplace Investigations Team. While there, Wendy investigated high-level concerns related to harassment and discrimination.
