What are zero-day vulnerabilities?

In 2023, a critical zero-day vulnerability was discovered in MOVEit Transfer, a popular managed file transfer service used by many organizations and individuals. The vulnerability allowed attackers to execute commands on the underlying system, potentially leading to data compromise or system takeover.
