Are middle managers committing to compliance in the face of competing priorities? How does the focus on anti-retaliation compare between the U.S. and Europe? Are Compliance and Information Security converging? How are organizations across the size spectrum addressing different priorities?
Leveraging its largest-ever survey group of over 1,300 risk and compliance (R&C) professionals around the globe, NAVEX, the world’s leader in integrated risk and compliance software, is set to answer these questions and more in the release of the 2023 State of Risk & Compliance Reporton June 22. This groundbreaking report improves and expands on its predecessor, the annual Definitive Risk & Compliance Report, providing new insight for certain key countries and by company size. NAVEX partnered again with leading research and polling firm The Harris Poll to help conduct this year’s survey and analysis.
NAVEX will release its report, as well as additional analysis, as part of a June 22 webinar featuring NAVEX Chief Risk and Compliance Officer Carrie Penman, Spark Compliance Consulting CEO Kristy Grant-Hart and The Harris Poll Senior Research Manager Jade Moser.
As in years past Penman – an established industry thought leader – and others reviewed survey findings through the lens of today’s R&C challenges and trends. This approach weaves together survey data in a manner that helps R&C professionals understand some of the major forces impacting their industries.
For the first time, NAVEX and The Harris Poll targeted four individual countries for deeper analysis. This comparison of France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States revealed some surprising differences in how respondents in those countries described their own programs.
Additionally, in another first for this report, NAVEX examined data across three company size cohorts – 5,000 or fewer employees, 5,001-to-9,999 employees, and 10,000 or more employees. This spectrum helps tell a deeper story for how these organizations differ in how respondents are describing their programs and approach to tackling challenges.
On top of six key findings, NAVEX again provides standard analysis around the R&C programmatic elements of hotline and incident management, policy management, training, integrated risk management and approach to third parties, and environmental, social and governance (ESG). The report features more than 50 infographics covering various findings from this year’s global survey.
The State of Risk & Compliance Report is among several major annual publications NAVEX releases to benefit R&C professionals across the globe. The annual Hotline & Incident Management Benchmark Report leverages anonymized activity data from over one million reports submitted to customers utilizing NAVEX’s incident management solutions. The Top 10 Risk & Compliance Trends ebook includes the forward-looking predictions and analysis of trusted thought leaders both within and outside of NAVEX.
