A different kind of executive discussion

The Benchmark Gap is a private executive roundtable series designed to explore this challenge in practice. 

Across London, Manchester, and Dublin, senior compliance leaders will come together in a closed-door setting to share perspectives, challenges, and approaches. 

No presentations. No theory. 

Just structured discussion, practical insight, and real-world experience from peers facing the same pressures.

Benchmark data is everywhere

Most organisations already know how they compare. But knowing where you stand is not the same as knowing what to do next. 

Across reporting, investigations, and accountability, many compliance programmes still struggle to turn insight into consistent, defensible action. 

  • Processes vary
  • Visibility is limited 
  • And under pressure, gaps become harder to explain

Where things break down

Even with strong data, common challenges remain: 

  1. Reporting processes that differ across teams and regions
    Anonymous reporting remains above 50%, making consistent follow-up harder to manage at scale.
  2. Investigations that lack consistency or clear oversight 
    Case closure times vary widely, with some cases extending well beyond 100 days 
  3. Limited visibility into trends, root causes, and outcomes 
    Same-day case closures are increasing, potentially masking ongoing risk and reducing true visibility 
  4. Difficulty demonstrating programme effectiveness to leadership or regulators 
    Even with rising substantiation rates, consistency in investigation quality remains critical 

The result is a programme that is informal but not fully operationalised.

Why this matters now

Expectations are changing. 

Regulators are placing greater emphasis on effectiveness. Boards are asking harder questions. 
And organisations are expected to show not just what they know – but what they are doing about it. 

Insight alone is no longer enough.
