PORTLAND, Ore., March 17, 2021 – NAVEX®, the leader in integrated risk and compliance management software, today announced a licensing agreement with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). The agreement allows NAVEX to utilize SASB Standards and resources within NAVEX ESG™, a solution which helps organizations manage and automate the complexity of sustainability efforts.

SASB’s mission is to help businesses around the world identify, manage and report on the sustainability topics that matter most to their investors. SASB Standards identify the subset of environmental, social and governance issues most relevant to financial performance in 77 industries. Licensing SASB Standards helps organizations develop a robust and standardized data architecture based on a transparent, market-informed determination of which sustainability topics are likely to be financially material, while still allowing for customization to fit each organization’s needs.

“Healthy and trustworthy data is key for effectively incorporating ESG reporting into business decisions,” said Karen Alonardo, vice president, ESG Solutions for NAVEX. “We are excited to help our customers understand and utilize SASB’s standards in their ESG programs and to advance ESG standards overall.”

“We are glad to support NAVEX ESG’s use of SASB. By integrating SASB Standards into its platform, NAVEX can offer its clients the powerful lens of the subset of ESG issues most likely to impact financial performance in each industry,” says Nicolai Lundy, SASB’s Director of Partnerships & Market Outreach.

In addition to SASB, NAVEX ESG supports the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
