Guest speakers Andy Noble, Head of Whistleblowing, NatWest, and Trisha Windsor-Williams, Whistleblowing Operations Manager, M&G plc, will be discussing UK societal expectations surrounding whistleblowing, the demonization of whistleblowers and company culture outcomes of a strong whistleblowing programme.

 

UK Whistleblowing: Where Will it Take UK Businesses?

Expert speaker Jonathan Chamberlain, Partner (Employment Law), Gowling WLG, will cover how HR and Compliance teams are coming together, the boards’ role and the future of UK whistleblowing laws.

The Relationship Between the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and the UK Whistleblowing Bill

Mary Robinson, MP for Cheadle and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Whistleblowing, will talk about the proposed UK Whistleblowing Bill that Mary presented to Parliament earlier this year. Mary will discuss the proposed UK Bill, how it relates to the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and if UK businesses can follow the EU Directive to future proof them for future bills.

  • Mary Robinson, MP for Cheadle and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Whistleblowing, will talk about the proposed UK Whistleblowing Bill vs EU Whistleblowing Protection Directive. Mary will discuss how the EU Directive directly affects UK businesses, and for those companies following the EU Directive, will that future proof them for future bills? Joining Mary for this discussion is Georgina Halford-Hall, CEO of WhistleblowersUK. Georgina has worked closely with The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Whistleblowers in supporting efforts to create the Office of the Whistleblower.
