As described in our Privacy Statement, NAVEX (“NAVEX,” “we,” “us,” etc.) and our affiliates, vendors, and analytics providers use cookies and similar tracking technologies (beacons, tags, and scripts) to analyze trends, administer our corporate Websites (https://www.navex.com/https://www.netclaim.com/, and all subdomains hosted by NAVEX),  gather demographic information about our visitors, track movements around our Websites, and deliver advertising that is more relevant to your interests. In limited circumstances, personal information is collected by automated technologies within the software services and solutions (the “Application” or “Applications”) we provide to our customers.  In most cases these Application cookies are required for the Application to function properly.  We have created separate Cookie Statements: one for our corporate Websites, and one for our service Applications.

A “cookie” is a small text file stored on a user’s computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use web-based software. Cookies send information back to the originating website on each subsequent visit to that site, or to another site that recognizes that same cookie. Cookies come in many different forms and are useful because they allow a website or software provider to recognize a user’s device and keep track of preferences.

We use session-based and persistent cookies on our Websites and within our Applications. Session cookies make it easier to navigate our Websites and Applications and disappear from your computer when you close your browser or turn off your computer. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain on your computer or device after you close your browser or turn off your computer.

Cookies on NAVEX Websites:

NAVEX Websites use a combination of cookie types (see below for information on different cookie types).

You may adjust your cookie preferences associated with our Websites at any time by visiting our Cookie Preferences tool. If you reject cookies, you may continue to use portions of our Websites, but your ability to access some areas of the site or use certain products and services may be limited.

In addition, most web browsers allow you to stop cookies from being set on your device through the browser settings.  To find out more about cookies, including how to see which cookies have been set on your device, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

You may also opt-out of certain disclosures of your personal information via cookies by using the Global Privacy Control signal. Requests sent using the Global Privacy Control will apply to the device and browser from which they are submitted.  For more information about the Global Privacy Control, please visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/

Cookies on NAVEX Applications:

In general, NAVEX’s Applications use only Required cookies (see below for information on Required Cookies) which are necessary for the Application to function properly.

The exception is that in certain circumstances, we use functional cookies on areas of our Applications that are accessible only by licensed or credentialed users (which are those users with a username and password) (see below for information on Functional Cookies). Generally, we do not require consent to use these cookies on non-public areas of our Applications that are accessible only by authorized users. For avoidance of doubt, the public facing web intake sites provided as part of NAVEX’s Incident Management Services use only Required Cookies.

Cookie Types:

Cookies perform many different functions. They allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and ensure that ads you see online are relevant to you. We use different types of cookies on our Websites and Applications:

Required cookies. These are necessary for our Websites and Applications to function properly. They cannot be switched off in our systems. They typically are set in response to actions made by you that request services, such as when you set privacy preferences, log in, or fill in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of our Websites and Applications will not work if you block them. They do not store information that identifies you directly.

Functional cookies. These allow us to count visits and sources of traffic on our Websites and Applications while measuring and improving their performance. They help us to know which pages of our Websites and Applications are most and least popular and see how visitors move around the Websites and Applications. The information collected by these cookies creates aggregated, anonymous analytics reports.

Targeted advertising cookies. These may be set through our Websites by our advertising partners. They may be used by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show relevant ads on other sites. They do not store directly identifiable personal information but do identify your browser and type of internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience advertising that is less relevant to your interests.
